shareThe catalogue of the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Finarte, which is due to take place at La Permanente di Milano on Wednesday, 9 November, 2016, is online. Composed of 283 lots, the catalogue begins with a wide range of artworks starting from early XX century until the 1970s and continues with the special project dedicated to the image of woman in art, curated by Silvia Evangelisti, former director of ArteFiera Bologna from 2003 to 2012: Figure di donna is not only a section of the catalogue composed of 50 works (lots 27 - 77) but an exhibition, displaying works by artists (mostly Italian ones) from the beginning of the XX century to the present day..
Top lot of the catalogue are a big acrylic on paper by Sam Francis; four works by Emilio Isgrò from the Veglia di Bach series; an oil on newspaper by Afro; an everted canvas by Agostino Bonalumi; Volume a moduli sfasati by Dadamaino; an enamel on canvas by Mario Schifano.
